Friends

I just wanted to put a little message out there to my best friend T.

You are one of the greatest people in the world.
You mean so much more to me than I let on.
I wish I was more of a friend to you then I am at times.
I wish that you and I lived closer, so that we could spend more time together.
Most of all, I'm so happy that you will be standing next to me as my parents give me away, as I become a wife and a mother.
I can't imagine anyone else I'd want right there next to me then you.
We've had our rocky times, and we've had smooth sailing.  At the times, I hated those rocky moments, I have now grown to see that those reasons are why we are so close, why we are who we are.

T. Thank you for always being someone I can count on!

My eyes were opened again today, and every moment like these I've dealt with make me realize how great of a friend I have in you. I just wanted you to know I appreciated it!

Recovery

Thanks Jen for the support!!

B made it through surgery just fine. His appendix had not rupture so that was good. I also made it, i ran up little 5-10 min cat naps for almost 36 hours!
I had planned to call my aunt and uncle to come sit with me during B's surgery, when we knew what time it would be I was going to call. Well the hospital did not do things the way the said they would. The surgeon did not come talk to us in a few hours of being admitted like we were told. NO one told me anything! So I sat at the hospital, in the family lounge, which just had waiting room chairs, not the nice room (we found that after surgery and B was up walking with me). Finally at 7 am I called my aunt and uncle to come sit me because I was sick of sitting alone. Ten min before they got there B was told he would be taken down. So they made it I didn't sit alone while he was in surgery and recovery. It was so wonderful of them! Family is great! Anyway...
B is back home, watching TV and eating like normal. So he is doing really well.  His mom is driving from his home state right now. She started yesterday afternoon. Its a long drive! So she will be here for the week for him so I can go back to school. He is doing fine though, which is good.

And as he says, He promises to never have an appendicitis again.

Signing off
A happy to have slept in a bed

What is Really Happening...

I found this on a friend's facebook,thought I would share it!

Don't hate the media, be the media.
Don't hate the media, be the media.
Get the word out.
http://www.snopes.com/photos/military/reenlist.asp
Snopes shows it was reported, but I sure didn't see it, hear about it,or read it until now.
Largest Re-enlistment Ceremony - Ever
I'm sure you already know about this. It was shown over and over on TV, right?
OK, so maybe it wasn't shown over and over, but surely it was shown on TV at least one time, wasn't it ?
This was the largest re-enlistment ceremony ever held in
military history. The ceremony was held on the 4th of July, 2008 at Al Faw Palace, Baghdad , Iraq . General David Petraeus officiated. This amazing story was ignored by the 'mainstream' media. For those who have been in the Al Faw Palace, you'll have a better appreciation of the number of people crammed around the rotunda supporting the re-enlisting soldiers.

American men and women volunteering to stay longer in Iraq, so that when we leave, the new democracy will have a chance of surviving, is the exact opposite of what the media wants you to think about Iraq. If only a bomb had killed 5 civilians in a marketplace - now that's the kind of news the media is eager to
tell you about.

A pizzeria in Chicago donated 2000 pizzas that were made and shipped to Baghdad, and were delivered on the 4th.  The media did report that 2000 pizzas were sent to Iraq on July 4th... The only part they left out of the report was the event for which the pizzas were sent.
I can't help but wonder...
What would the opinion of Americans be if they weren't getting
such obviously biased 'news?'

Pass this on and we will do the work for the Media.
