Funny Story

I thought I would give you my fellow readers a little bit of wedding details...well not so much wedding details but the honeymoon that didn't happen details...

Mainly because there has been a lot of talk around me today of people's honeymoons..and I'm feeling sorry for myself...so where else to pout about it then on my blog...that sometimes exists!

Here we go:

My husband, (a pilot...remember this, its humorous and embarrassing for him..) got sick on our first flight from MN to TX. He asked me for the barf bag, but before I could figure out what he wanted he was projectile vomiting on the plane. So when we got to TX we had to find something new for him to wear, as he had no other clothes in his carry on. Luckily my one carry on suitcase was packed with clothes for me as I had to change as well. He seemed tired that morning as we had only 3 hours of sleep so I really didn't think that our day would turn out the way it did. As we were sitting at the airport to go to Mexico he started getting sick again, he threw up in the airport also. However then he felt amazing so we got on the plane.

As the plane was taxiing to the runway, I looked over at my husband all excited because we were going to Mexico on our HONEYMOON...and he was pale! VERY WHITE...and sorta sweaty...So I asked him what was wrong and he told me in a very soft voice he thought he was going to pass out...so I flagged down the flight attended for a cool washcloth and told her that he thought he was going to pass out... so she asked is it anxiety, does he fly much? I laughed and said yes, he is a pilot. So at this point we knew something was extremely wrong so we had to call an ambulance to meet the plane back at the gate and we spent our second day married in the emergency room in Texas..not in Mexico in our Honeymoon suite.

Turns out he was really dehydrated and had some sort of stomach bug.

So my advice to those of you with a wedding in your future...make sure you are drinking the water the whole week leading up to your wedding. We had so much going on with all the decorating and such that water was far from our minds, and that ruined our honeymoon.

We will at some point go away on a make up honeymoon...but it will not be the same...as we'll have been married for awhile and it won't be our relaxing time after our stressful week leading up to the wedding.

I know...that if this is the worst thing to happen to me then I am lucky..and I know that God stopped us from going for a reason...but I can't help but be a little bit angry that I didn't get that honeymoon I've always dreamed of...

Anyway..

Yes that is me with the 2 metal arms!

If you didn't figure it out.. i got put on crutches this week!

I went to the gym last week and had the desire to run..(not sure why..i don't get this desire very often) but anyway I did..and then...i put to much stress on my knee and now have a stress fracture on my tibia. This Means I am Non-weight Bearing!!!

For those of you who don't know..I'm an xray tech...and the main xray tech in the OR..meaning I do lots of standing and walking and bending and moving for my job..crutches and xray techs do not mix...(well when the patient is on the that is a different story) So..I've been reduced to a desk job...this past week i spent my time making charts..meaning I put stickers on manilla folders...yes what a way to use my knowledge. Then again, I'm so grateful that they found a place that i can still work! However, yesterday my boss told me that because I was to good at what i do..they had run out of things for me to do..so I was told to take today off...however I haven't been at my job the amount of days need to get paid time off...but they really like me there i guess because she talked to HR and got it okay'd to give me PTO!! Woop Woop...and they have found more work for me so that is good...

B kept telling me to slack off more...and be lazy but seriously i'm driven...i can't!

Wedding plans are coming along just great! thing i think are working out..we'll se in the end...

we found our bands! Got great deals on them too!!! like 1500 off on mine!! Woop WOOP considering we looked all over for a band i liked this is amazing!!!

Um..in other news...if we can get our spending under control...and by we i mostly mean me..we can get a house...working on getting a new credit card with 0% apr and 0% on balance transfers...so that will help..then i'm closing the rest!...well at least the old navy one..even though i love that one...they send you rewards cash for free clothes!! CoME ON!!!...gonna be hard to give that up!

IN other other news...B has applied with a airline..corporate...would be an awesome job..so we are praying for that...

and the best news of all...

I'm going to go to heaven...and I'm sure of that...Because I have accepted God has my savior...here is the thing...Mark Cahill spoke at Church last week...(he is awesome and got my heart burning for the Lord)
He is this guy who just goes up to the strangers and asks them about God...I'm still working on getting the courage to that...until then...I'll hide behind my blog...But readers..I care about your souls..and If you want to go to Heaven the ONLY way is through HIM!!

Seriously!!!!

So my emails keep getting hacked...it totally sucks and scares me to death!

Well, I guess lately someone has just been trying to reset the password, but seriously, google step it up a bit! Return people's emails and help a girl out will ya?

I got enough stress in my life to be dealing with this also!!!


The wedding planning is not coming along all to well! I'm really at a stand still not sure of what else I need to get done! This stinks!

I was in the middle of working on the invitations when I got the "to reset your password" email there for here I am fixing all my accounts...AGAIN!!! 5th time in the last month I believe!!1

Anyway...If you have any tips on what I should be doing as far as the wedding...please send them this way!

It's hard because the knot's list doesn't quite fit, I'm a Bride with a reception hall that doesn't provide anything!!! EKK!!!

What....it has been a year???

Its been almost a year since B popped the question! Crazy to think of it that way! I can't believe how fast things this year have gone! I've had so much to look forward to so I feel like it shouldn't have gone this fast...we are in the home stretch to the wedding...less than 5 months! Can you believe it?!


I can not!

I have a crazy amount left to do!!! I've never done this before and I'm doing it on my own with bits of help from future MIL and my own mom. Yet my mom likes to say "whatever you want", not giving me her own opinion! So MIL has been great!!!

If there were any details at your weddings, or weddings you've been to that i could have possibly over looked...please please comment!! Let me know!!! I"m in need of guidance!!!

Other than then final touches on the wedding..my job is still going great and I'm really beginning to learn the Cincinnati area. I got myself from work to the airport last week without the GPS!!! Talk about awesome!!!! And I had only been that way once before, back in October!

Anyway!!!

My first day of work was yesterday! It was awesome!!! I met someone famous...of course I can't tell you who. (That would be a HIPPA violation and I would lose my license!) Anyway for it being my first day, that was neat! I had today off, I woke up, got out of bed, and was sad because I didn't have to go to work. I'm looking forward to going to tomorrow though. I'll be doing mostly the OR rotation. Which will be okay since I'll get lots of experience and then will rock that C-ARM!!! Wippie! Go me!!!

Wedding plans are coming along! I found the Gap Clearnce Store. This, my friends, it the real Gap Outlet. Also includes Banana Republic and Old Navy! I got some sweet favors there, two for 26 cents!!! Talk about crazy good deal!!! Yet, I keep having to make trips to go get them as they only let you buy 10 of a style at a time. I'm getting there!

Oh.. and have you heard of zappos?

I ordered shoes from them last night. (10:34pm) Free shipping! They upgraded me to overnight for FREE!!! The UPS knocked on the door at like 10:36 am with my shoes this morning!!! I'm so excited!!! Yet I had to exchange them, as they are to narrow. I called them and they made me a VIP!!!

Well I need to see if my MIL will help me with my pants that I'm bringing to get altered. I also need to pack a lunch and figure out what I'm going to wear to work tomorrow.

Woah!!!

So!!! Who wants to hear about my past month?? Sorry I've been slacking, the whole not having internet at my apartment thing, made it hard to think about posting.

Things that have happened:

I GRADUATED!!!! I walked at graduation, got a signed diploma-Aug 21

Then I had to spend two more weeks making up clinical time! Let me tell you, that was hard!!!! It was really hard to not let senior-itis hit when I already had the diploma!!!

However in order to take my boards, I had to make up the time! So I had to go!!!...yuck

The last week I was at school I stayed with one of the x-ray techs, and her four kids (6, 2, 18months, 6months)...that was crazy!!! It was so fun though, much better than an apartment all by myself!!

I've been at my parents house the last week. Working on getting rid of stuff!

I'm a pack rat...however, I'm moving to Ohio! So I don't want to take all that crap with me!!! BUY NEW!!! *wink*

We met with the pastor yesterday, looked at wedding bands, met with the cake man, the wedding planner...and today we took engagement pictures! B and I have had a productive week...

We are leaving my parent's house Saturday morning for a wedding, dinner with the family in MSP Sunday, Taking my boards, seeing the TMJ doctore and trying on my wedding dress on Monday...Hitting the road to Ohio on Tuesday AM!!!

Speaking of the wedding dress...We also picked out bridesmaid, jr bridesmaid and flower girl dresses this past month, and B figured out the tuxes yesterday! We are on a roll!!!!

I'm really into working on wedding things at the moment! So I'm excited to get out to Ohio and get my wedding table set up! To PLAN PLAN PLAN!!!

Oh yeah, I suppose, I'll also need to find a job!!! A few apps are still out in limbo! I'm applying to all I see as far as X-Ray goes!

Hopefully after Monday I can say....

Another Wedding Question

Another thing I'm working on trying to figure out how to make is a boarding pass. I'm going to have a seating chart at the wedding and want to have the tables numbered and the seats letter, like on an airplane.

So...

I want my guests to pick up a boarding pass off the table to find their spot, but I"m not quite sure where to start....does any one have any ideas???

The black sheet of paper with the airplane cut out will really be the table number. They will look like the invite; only have a number over them on the vellum instead of the writing for the invites.

Do you like them? Rocks or Sand? What look looks more fancy?

Or should I just stick to flowers? Do you have any other ideas for the wording? I need quotes about love with not a lot of words as the cri-cut doesn't like to cut that many words as they would have to be really small

GRR... I'm so ticked right now!!!

I got my hopes up, B had said that he might be able to come see me tonight, instead he is going to see A. Not a big deal, if that were the only thing.

All are phone conversations lately have added up to about five minutes a day, since I saw him the week of his brother's wedding, which was in April. 

I was suppose to spend Sunday night with him, he had to work, again not a big deal, but that was the only planned time of seeing him the whole month of May. 

I'm having surgery next Friday, again, not a big deal, I would just like to see him prior, just in case! 

He has the nerve to say to me today, he might make it to my graduation, this Saturday morning. If things work out. Realize he is on reserve Friday night and Saturday night, and every other flipping time we schedule to see each other. Or he gets himself extended.....I'M SO SICK OF THIS!!!!

I can not wait until the day when he goes home, to see A, I will also be at that home, because it will be our home. Its been let down after let down this month. 

Even in April at the wedding we barely had time together, he was a groomsman and I had to take care of A, and it was event after event after event the whole time. 

I think it would all be better if we could talk on the phone, like talk talk, not "i thought I'd call quick because I'm on a maintenance delay, but I gotta call my mom now." or " I'm sorry I feel asleep and I'm going to just go back to bed, good night, I Love You" I realize that I'm lucky we get that little bit, its just hard. 

In happier news: I'm walking at graduation on Saturday and only 100 more days until I'm officially board ready!!! Hopefully also 100 days until full time work...or maybe 105, so I have time to move and take the exam! 

Wedding planning is in full swing again lately. I'm meeting with the florist on Friday. The guest list: 425 eek!!! I think the place only holds 400! And I still have people to add, so I'm going to have to subtract people! 

I plan on getting more things figured out when I'm at my parent's home recovering from surgery, the Gall Bladder is coming out on May 22!!

I also found out that I need to have my TMJ looked at. B if you are reading this, now you know. I haven't had a chance to tell you that. That appt is in the cities on June 22 :D at least its covered with my great insurance :D

Anyway, I think I'm going to clean, this place is a pig st ye! My mom would tell you that I'm not over reacting, it would have been considered a pig st ye to her months ago! :D

Random Events!

So, tonight was my third night of golf lessons, we learned about the swing.

Before class I tried to practice a bit, not really sure what I was doing. I hit the ball just a few times, and not very far. 

As we got done with the classroom bit, I was feeling more confident. 

We hit the dome. 

I hit the back wall!!! Not the first time and not all the time.

But I did get my ball to go in the air all the way to the wall!!! Most of the time I got it to go half way to 3/4 of the way to the wall.  It was pretty fun, and I beginning to think I've found a new hobby. :D

Another crazy thing that has been happening, I've getting phone calls from 2 different weird phone numbers, at all random times of the day. Weird because there is an extra digit!

I'm going to publish these numbers, because these people are ticking me off! SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO SLEEP AT 4 AM!!! Plus, when I call the numbers back, I get an "incorrect number or code" message!

These calls started Saturday Morning at 3 am which I slept through I guess, they let me sleep on Sunday. Monday I got one at 6am woke me up. And in the afternoon missed in, during clinicals. Tuesday 4 AM! Woke me, kept me awake for an hour, then I finally got to sleep, for 30 min, then I had to get up. Today again at 630  am, 730, 11, 130. ANNOYING!!!

Oh and when I actually answered the phone calls, they hung up a few seconds after I said Hello, or who is this?

Wedding question:

I've been researching and I can't find an answer to this question, so I thought I'd pose it to you all.

Is there a certain role for godparents in a wedding? The only thing I can find is for hispanic weddings. I'm not hispanic and neither is B. So what would the role be in our Christian wedding? Any advice??

Booked

We booked our Church and our reception sites this week. I'm finally feeling excited about getting married again.  Not again as in second marriage, as in I wasn't excited last week, due to stresses! HAHA

I also got my flower situation taken care of, my old boss is going to do them at raw material cost. So that is pretty cool! I'm heading to the cities tonight to see B :D I'm really excited about that, didn't get to see him last weekend due to being hospitalized. All is well, swollen lymph nodes, not appendicitis like they were thinking. They cause pains every now and again, but I'm learning to live with them. 

My parents are actually coming down as well to go to a wedding anniversary, so my mom and I are going to look at wedding dresses this weekend. Super exciting!!!! 

Anyway that is what is new in my world.

Change of Plans

Well in the last week our wedding as gone from 

March 2010 in AZ to

April 2010 in Minnesota (the Cities) to

May 2010 in The Cities.

Lots of changes have happened.

It finally hit me that really important people wouldn't be able to make it to MY big day, and I would NEED them there! So I thought about it, talked to my MOH, talked to my mom and dad, and finally got to talk to B, due is trip he was in air when the major epiphany happened. He was totally okay with it, understanding about my need to have people there, making it a big wedding, due to the size of my dad's family (part of the needed ones). Ii couldn't believe how quickly he agreed. He didn't even think about it for more than 5 secs. He even said, get this, ITS YOUR WEDDING! haha I thought that was awesome, and I hope he remembers he said that when we have another issue, i NEED! I did tell him I want him to feel like it is his, as well. 

Oh yeah another thing that has happened in the last week, I told my mom to back-off leave me alone, and now we are better!

She still isn't in the plans, like she doesn't know we are going to look at a place tomorrow. I feel bad for that, but I can't handle the freak outs. Nothing will be a go without her seeing it and being talked to about it. 

And we are going to the bridal show next week, I'm super excited for that! I finally get to show my rents and my MOH, my ring. That will be fun! Anyway I'm freezing B had his thermostat set at 65, since he has been gone, so my fingers are frozen and I can't type well any more. So I'm heading to bed. Just wanted to check in.

Venting

Just landed from Ohio. Things are super weird. I look at my finger and there is a ring on it! OK, its a stange adjustment. 

And the planning....umm NO PLANS set in stone! My mom wants me to get married in my church. B doesn't want a big wedding, he wants a destination. My dad wants a cheap one and I just want one filled with love! Maybe fancier than not, but not to break the pocketbook!

My mom called me like 75 times in the last four days about the wedding and that I was planning it without her and what not. We hardly talked about anything B and I. So it was annoying!!!

I'm not sure how to plan a wedding! I have no clue where to start. Then adding a destination on it, yikes! I want to get married somewhere I've been before the actual date! We are thinking AZ, I'm going out there in March so I'll get to look at some stuff, but I've never been there either!

Any advice and tips would be greatly accepted!!!

Ring in the new year

Little did I know when I made super duper exciting plans to ring in the new year, that I would be actually RINGing in the new year.

Ladies and Gents, the name of my blog will have to change!

I am not longer a girlfriend of a regional airline pilot!

As the ball was dropping, as the clock struck 0000 I became ENGAGED!!!!

B was so romantic last night it was just the perfect night, even before he popped the question!!

I was eventually able to fall asleep last night,but I can't sleep now. Which is okay as we have to be up soon anyway to catch our flight out to his parents house. OMGoodness!!! I'm still jumping inside, I'm so excited and since I couldn't get a hold of the few people I still want to tell myself and I really want to tell someone, I told you, my fellow bloggers!

Its a beautiful day!
